Clinton County had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 17-run drubbing they dealt Bourbon County on Friday. The Bulldogs never let the Colonels get on the board and left with a 17-0 win. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matchups by six runs or more this season.

Clinton County has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Bourbon County, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

Coincidentally, Clinton County and Bourbon County will both be playing Lincoln County the next time they take the field. The Colonels will head out to face the Patriots at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Bulldogs will head out to face them at 11:45 a.m. on Saturday.
