Baseball Game Preview: Philip Simmons Iron Horses vs. Woodland Wolverines

The Philip Simmons Iron Horses will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Woodland Wolverines at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.

Having struggled with six defeats in a row dating back to last season, Philip Simmons turned things around against Woodland on Wednesday. They blew past the Wolverines 15-6. The Iron Horses' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Philip Simmons got a massive performance out of Charlie Helms, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Scarth, who scored two runs while going 2-for-5.

Woodland is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5. As for Philip Simmons, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4.
