Basketball Recap: Lourdes Comes Up Short

Lourdes was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat. They fell 59-46 to the Zumbrota-Mazeppa Cougars. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 301st, while the Cougars are ranked 94th).

Lourdes' loss dropped their record down to 2-19. As for Zumbrota-Mazeppa, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 19-9.

Looking ahead, Lourdes is taking a road trip to square off against Cotter at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Zumbrota-Mazeppa, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Byron at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
