Softball Recap: Greensburg Central Catholic Centurions vs. Greater Latrobe Wildcats
After flying high against Steel Valley last Monday, Greensburg Central Catholic came back down to earth. The Greensburg Central Catholic Centurions lost 14-4 to the Greater Latrobe Wildcats on Wednesday.
Macee Magill and Makenzee Kenney did some serious damage despite the final result: Magill scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances, while Kenney went 3-for-3 with two RBI and a double. Magill is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now stolen at least one in the last three games she's played.
Greensburg Central Catholic's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-5. As for Greater Latrobe, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Greensburg Central Catholic will head out on the road to challenge Ligonier Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Greater Latrobe, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Greensburg Salem at 4:00 p.m.
