Volleyball Recap: Central Noble Cougars vs. Churubusco Eagles

Central Noble lost against Churubusco back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Cougars fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 3-2. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Central Noble sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 27-25, 25-27, 25-14, 16-25, 16-14.

When it comes to explaining why Central Noble lost, don't look at Katie Forker. Despite the final result, she had 25 digs and two aces. Forker is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 24 or more in each of the last three games she's played. Audrey Wallace also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

Churubusco found their leader in sophomore Alyssa Marks, who had 24 assists and 14 digs. Those 14 digs set a new season-high mark for Marks. Ava Marks was another key player, getting ten digs and four assists.

Central Noble's loss dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Churubusco, their win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-9.
