            Baseball Recap: Old Fort Stockaders vs. Mohawk Warriors        
        
		
        
        
            Old Fort lost against Mohawk back in April of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Thursday. The Stockaders fell just short of the Warriors by a score of  7-6. The Stockaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 Harry King put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  didn't allow a single  earned run while striking out nine over six innings pitched. King was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-4 with one  triple, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI.
 King wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Andrew tackett, who  scored a  run and  stole three bases while going 1-for-3.
Old Fort's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Mohawk, their win was  their fourth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 6-2.
 Looking ahead, Old Fort will take on Hopewell-Loudon at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Chieftains' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3  runs per game  this season, so the Stockaders' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Mohawk, they will challenge Plymouth at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday.
