Soccer Recap: Floyd County Comes Up Short

Floyd County lost against Radford back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Buffaloes lost 8-0 to the Bobcats. While losing is never fun, Floyd County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 212th, while Radford are ranked 66th).

Floyd County's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-8-2. As for Radford, their win bumped their record up to 10-3.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Floyd County is set to square off against their familiar foe Alleghany at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Radford will challenge rival James River at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
