Baseball Recap: Old Fort Takes a Loss

Old Fort was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 11-1 to the Hopewell-Loudon Chieftains. The game marked the Stockaders' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Old Fort saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Adelsperger, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base.

Old Fort's record is now 4-4. As for Hopewell-Loudon, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

Coming up, Old Fort will be playing in front of their home fans against Lakota at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Hopewell-Loudon, they will venture away from home to challenge Upper Sandusky at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Chieftains 3, the Rams 3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
