Volleyball Recap: Bryan Takes a Loss

Bryan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Archbold Blue Streaks, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Golden Bears of the 3-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Archbold scored at least 17 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-17, 25-20.

Kelsie Thiel paced Bryan's offense, picking up nine kills. Thiel got some help from Jozie Cordy and her 19 assists. Cordy was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Bryan's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Archbold, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-1.

Looking ahead, Bryan will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Liberty Center at 7:00 p.m. As for Archbold, they have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Pettisville on the 11th.
