Basketball Recap: Skyline Comes Up Short

Skyline was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They took a 56-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Waxahachie Indians. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 533rd, while the Indians are ranked 238th).

Kamarie Hardeman continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Waxahachie, dropping a double-double on 15 points and ten boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooke Bizzell, who posted eight points and six steals.

Skyline's defeat dropped their record down to 6-23. As for Waxahachie, their win bumped their record up to 14-16.

Skyline has already played their next game, a 57-35 loss against DeSoto on the 4th. As for Waxahachie, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 67-32 defeat against Lancaster on the 4th.
