Volleyball Recap: Concord Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Concord was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Jay M. Robinson Bulldogs. The Spiders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 3-2.

Concord wouldn't go down easily and took Jay M. Robinson into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking ten-point loss. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-23, 20-25, 16-25, 15-5.

Leah Williams paced Concord's offense, picking up 11 kills. Williams got some help from Adeline Fulton and her 32 assists. Riley Porter controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Concord's defeat dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Jay M. Robinson, their victory bumped their record up to 4-8.

Concord didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against North Stanly on the 6th. As for Jay M. Robinson, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Northwest Cabarrus on the 7th.
