Baseball Recap: San Rafael Snaps Three-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

San Rafael hadn't done well against San Marin recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Bulldogs walked away with a 7-2 victory over the Mustangs. This was a revenge game for the Bulldogs: when they faced off against the Mustangs on Tuesday, they had to take a 3-1 loss.

The team relied heavily on Cruz Wexler, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs, one double, and one RBI. He has become a key player for San Rafael: the team is 6-2 when he posts at least two runs, but 5-10 otherwise. Sebastian Chick was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles and two RBI.

San Rafael's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-12. As for San Marin, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-8.
