Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Wolfe City). They took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 70-28 victory over the Whitewright Tigers. Considering the Wolves have won four matchups by more than 27 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

It was another big night for Hd Davis, who rushed for 350 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 14.0 yards per carry. His rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his 12th straight game with at least 102 rushing yards dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brennon Russell, who picked up 94 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

Wolfe City was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 398 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in August of 2023.

Wolfe City wouldn't let Whitewright keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Russell was the leader in that area as all came courtesy of his dominant performance.

When it comes to explaining why Whitewright lost, don't look at Gage Walker. Despite the final result, he rushed for 193 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 12.1 yards per carry. Those 193 rushing yards gave Walker a new career-high.

Wolfe City pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Whitewright, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-3.

Wolfe City and Tioga will meet in a canine-themed contest at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Tioga is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 40.1 points per game this season.
