Basketball Game Preview: Warden Cougars vs. Tri-Cities Prep Jaguars

Warden is on a four-game streak of home losses, Tri-Cities Prep a four-game streak of away losses dating back to last season, but someone's luck will change on Tuesday. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Warden Cougars face off against the Tri-Cities Prep Jaguars at 5:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Saturday, Warden lost to Freeman at home by a 59-41 margin. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 278th, while the Scotties are ranked 89th).

Meanwhile, Tri-Cities Prep came up short against Pullman last Saturday and fell 65-54.

Warden's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Tri-Cities Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.

Everything came up roses for Warden against Tri-Cities Prep when the teams last played back in January of 2024, as the squad secured a 67-24 victory. Will Warden repeat their success, or does Tri-Cities Prep have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
