Christopher and Silver Creek are an even 4-4 against one another since March of 2016, but likely not for long. The Cougars will be playing in front of their home fans against the Raiders at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Christopher will be strutting in after a win while Silver Creek will be coming in after a loss.

Christopher is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Oak Grove 19-5 on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won seven in a row.

Audrina Cabanlit made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed five innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off six hits. What's more, she posted three strikeouts, the most she's had since back in March. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with two RBI and one run.

In other batting news, Melissa Lugo was a standout: she went 4-for-5 with four runs, two stolen bases, and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Brianna Diaz Cruz was another key player, going 3-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and one double.

Christopher was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .444. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, Silver Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 12-2 to Piedmont Hills.

Silver Creek saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madeline Collins, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one RBI.

Christopher's win bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Silver Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 8-16.

Christopher took their victory against Silver Creek when the teams last played back in April by a conclusive 13-1 score. Do the Cougars have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Raiders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
