Basketball Recap: Highland Takes a Loss

After soaring to 56 points the game before, Highland was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They were beaten by the Marlboro Central Dukes 84-23. The Huskies lost against the Dukes in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 46-43 score last time.

Highland's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Marlboro Central, they moved to 2-3 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Highland will venture away from home to face off against Dover at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Dover is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58 points per game this season. As for Marlboro Central, they will head out to take on Red Hook at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Red Hook will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Marlboro Central surely won't give up without a fight.
