Softball Game Preview: Eagle Grove Eagles vs. West Bend-Mallard Wolverines

The Eagle Grove Eagles will challenge the West Bend-Mallard Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Monday, Eagle Grove came up short against Bishop Garrigan and fell 10-6. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for West Bend-Mallard's offense. They came up short against Alta-Aurelia on Monday, falling 11-0. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Wolverines were not able to get on the board.

West Bend-Mallard's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Eagle Grove, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-7.

Eagle Grove got the 'W' when the teams last played back in June of 2025 against West Bend-Mallard by a conclusive 13-2 score. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Wolverines have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
