Recap: Hillsboro Trojans vs. Southeast of Saline Trojans
The Hillsboro Trojans lost against the Southeast of Saline Trojans back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Hillsboro took a 62-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of Southeast of Saline. Hillsboro has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Southeast of Saline got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Gannon Jacobson out in front who scored 14 points along with four steals. Jacobson is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Owen Bailey was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Hillsboro's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Southeast of Saline, their win bumped their record up to 2-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hillsboro will be home for the holidays to greet Council Grove at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Council Grove focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Friday. Southeast of Saline will be home for the holidays to greet Sacred Heart at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Sacred Heart is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
