Forrest County Agricultural posted their closest win since February 10th on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Columbia Wildcats. The two-run effort marked the Aggies' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Landyn Anderson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

The win (which was Forrest County Agricultural's third in a row) raised their record to 9-5. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Columbia, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-4.

Forrest County Agricultural will have a chance to go back-to-back against Columbia: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
