Shields waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They strolled past the Choctaw County Tigers with points to spare, taking the game 54-35. The Panthers pushed the score to 46-20 by the end of the third, a deficit the Tigers cut but never quite recovered from.

Choctaw County lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Jarrod Chaney, who went 5 for 9 on his way to 10 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Chaney is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jaydon Thomas, who posted eight points.

Shields' victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Choctaw County, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.
