Volleyball Recap: Crown Point Snaps 11-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Crown Point dropped to 22-2 on Saturday, ending the team's 11-match streak of wins at home dating back to last season. They fell just short of the Hamilton Southeastern Royals by a score of 2-1. The Bulldogs were not able to make up for their defeat to the Royals from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

Elle Schara paced Crown Point's offense, picking up 22 kills. Schara were helped by Cailin Duncan and Elisabetta Bedoy, who contributed 17 assists each. Bedoy was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

As for Hamilton Southeastern, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 22-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted since September 17th.

Hamilton Southeastern can attribute much of their success to Maye Mcconnell, who had 12 digs and three assists. Madison Miles also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Crown Point didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Homestead on the 27th. As for Hamilton Southeastern, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Benet Academy on the 27th.
