North Montgomery lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Crawfordsville, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's matchup. The Chargin' Chargers were the clear victors by a 17-7 margin over the Athenians on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Chargin' Chargers, who have now won eight games by six runs or more so far this season.

North Montgomery got a massive performance out of Tucker Hinds, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and two RBI. Those four runs gave Hinds a new career-high. Cayden Keller was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and one double.

North Montgomery was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .559. They are a perfect 8-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

North Montgomery is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.1 runs over those games. As for Crawfordsville, their loss dropped their record down to 8-10-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Montgomery will face off against Rossville at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Crawfordsville, they will square off against Greencastle at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The Tiger Cubs will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something the Athenians surely won't give up without a fight.
