Softball Recap: Rantoul Comes Up Short

Rantoul lost against Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Eagles fell just short of the Knights by a score of 4-3. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Rantoul's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond, their record is now 10-13.

Coming up, Rantoul will head out to take on Illinois Valley Central at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Grey Ghosts have averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season. As for Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Neoga at 4:30 p.m. on the 12th.
