Volleyball Game Preview: Rancho San Juan Trailblazers vs. Pacific Collegiate Pumas

The Rancho San Juan Trailblazers will square off against the Pacific Collegiate Pumas at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Rancho San Juan will be strutting in after a win while Pacific Collegiate will be coming in after a loss.

Rancho San Juan took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over Seaside.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-11, 19-25, 25-14.

Meanwhile, Pacific Collegiate was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to North Monterey County.

Pacific Collegiate was not able to win a set, but it sure wasn't from a lack of trying: every set was decided by exactly two points. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-23, 26-24.

Pacific Collegiate's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Rancho San Juan, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-6.

Rancho San Juan was able to grind out a solid victory over Pacific Collegiate in their previous matchup back in September, winning 3-1. Will the Trailblazers repeat their success, or do the Pumas have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
