Softball Recap: Wayne County Wins Going Away Against Pickett County

While Wayne County put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Pickett County. The Wayne County Cardinals blew past the Pickett County Bobcats 17-0. The win continues a trend for the Cardinals in their matchups with the Bobcats: they've now won three in a row.

The victory got Wayne County back to even at 1-1. As for Pickett County, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Looking ahead, Wayne County will host Somerset at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Pickett County, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Pickett County Bobcats duke it out with Gordonsville Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Gordonsville's pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so Pickett County's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
