Soccer Game Preview: Braddock vs. Sunset

The Braddock Bulldogs will challenge the Sunset Knights at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Braddock headed into their last contest having not scored more than one goal for three straight, but Jackson let them put that streak behind them. The Bulldogs rang in the new year with a 5-3 win over the Generals on Tuesday. Considering Braddock's offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

They hit Jackson with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Ezequiel Umbria (2), Diego Palomino (2), and Adriel Gonzalez.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Sunset was forced to settle for a draw. Neither they nor Southridge could gain the upper hand on Friday so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw.

Braddock is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3-3 record this season. Sunset's draw gives them a new season record of 6-8-1.

Everything went Braddock's way against Sunset in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, as Braddock made off with a 4-0 victory. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Knights turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
