Basketball Recap: Cherokee Comes Up Short

Cherokee and Athens Bible squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Cherokee had to settle for second. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 42-41 to the Athens Bible Trojans. The defeat continues a trend for the Indians in their matchups with the Trojans: they've now lost nine in a row.

Cherokee's loss dropped their record down to 14-13. As for Athens Bible, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 13-10.

As of now, neither Cherokee nor Athens Bible have any future games scheduled.
