Softball Recap: Pascack Hills Broncos vs. Academy of the Holy A Angels
Pascack Hills came into Wednesday's game having lost seven straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They had just enough and edged the Academy of the Holy A Angels out 8-7. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Pascack Hills also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2023.
Pascack Hills got a massive performance out of Christine Diaz, who scored a run and stole a base while going 4-for-4. Marli Golden was another key contributor, going 1-for-3 with a home run.
Pascack Hills' win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-11. As for Academy of the Holy A, their loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-12.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pascack Hills is on the road again on Thursday to play Glen Rock at 4:00 p.m. Glen Rock knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with flashy run totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Pascack Hills likes a good challenge. As for Academy of the Holy A, they will head out on the road to face off against Immaculate Heart Academy at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. Immaculate Heart Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.3 runs per game this season.
