Baseball Recap: Cocoa Takes a Loss

Cocoa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 26th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Rockledge Raiders, falling 44-0. The Tigers lost against the Raiders in their previous head to head back in March of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 15-0 score last time.

Cocoa's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Rockledge, they pushed their record up to 12-6 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Cocoa will challenge Merritt Island at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Rockledge, they will face off against Space Coast at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Rockledge's pitchers better be ready for this one: Space Coast has averaged an impressive 6.9 runs per game this season.
