Volleyball Recap: St. Agnes Academy Takes a Loss

St. Agnes Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of HCYA.

St. Agnes Academy started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The final score came out to 25-27, 25-16, 15-13.

St. Agnes Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for HCYA, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-6-2 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Agnes Academy will challenge St. John XXIII at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Tigers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for HCYA, they will head out on the road to challenge Kinkaid at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
