Volleyball Game Preview: Davis Sr. Blue Devils vs. Oak Ridge Trojans + Official Tickets

Davis Sr. hasn't had much luck against Oak Ridge recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Blue Devils are taking a road trip to take on the Trojans at 6:30 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Davis Sr. came up short against Del Oro on Monday, falling 3-0.

While Davis Sr. ultimately came up short, they really made Del Oro work, particularly in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-20, 27-25.

Davis Sr.'s defeat came about despite a quality game from Emma Phillips, who had 13 digs and one assist. Phillips is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 13 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Meanwhile, Oak Ridge lost 3-0 to Rocklin on Monday. The Trojans haven't had much luck with the Thunder recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

While Oak Ridge was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-22, 25-20.

Davis Sr.'s loss dropped their record down to 13-15. As for Oak Ridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-10.

Davis Sr. might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Oak Ridge in their previous matchup back in September. Can the Blue Devils avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
