Baseball Game Preview: Columbus North Bull Dogs vs. Jeffersonville Red Devils

The Columbus North Bull Dogs will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Jeffersonville Red Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

On Tuesday, Columbus North needed a bit of extra time to put away East Central. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Trojans, sneaking past 11-9.

Jesse Clark was incredible, scoring a run and stealing five bases while going 4-for-4. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Jack Whaley was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Monday Jeffersonville sidestepped Floyd Central for a 2-1 victory.

Columbus North now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Jeffersonville, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.

Columbus North came out on top in a nail-biter against Jeffersonville when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 5-3. Do the Bull Dogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Red Devils turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
