Football Recap: East Lincoln Skates Past Providence with Ease

The East Lincoln Mustangs were fully in charge on Friday, breezing past the Providence Panthers 55-24. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mustangs.

Among those leading the charge was Davis Beam, who picked up 47 receiving yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 29 yards and one TD. Jaxon Dollar also helped with two scores in total.

East Lincoln's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB five times. Kaleb Lauffer was especially locked on to Providence's QB and sacked him three times. Ethan King got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

East Lincoln's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Providence, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, East Lincoln will square off against Newton-Conover at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The match will give the Mustangs their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Providence, they will take on Myers Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
