Game recap: Hasbrouck Heights High School Football Team defeats Waldwick/Midland Park

HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, N.J. - Hasbrouck Heights (N.J.) didn't let up as Saturday's game came to a close, scoring 12 in the fourth quarter to seal a 39-7 victory over Waldwick/Midland Park (Waldwick, N.J.).

After taking the lead on a touchdown run by Darren Iurato in the first quarter, the Aviators were up 27-7 at the half.

PJ Beety and Iurato ran for a bunch of touchdowns for the Warriors. Beety scored three touchdowns on the ground and Iurato added two as well.

Waldwick/Midland Park's only touchdown came on a 7-yard run by Nick Dragonetti in the second quarter.

Waldwick/Midland Park came in surrendering 10.3 points per game this season. WMP struggled against Hasbrouck Heights' offense, which entered the game scoring 46.0 points per game. HH had given up an average of 10.5 points prior to the contest.



The loss comes after Waldwick/Midland Park defeated Park Ridge 49-0 last week.

Hasbrouck Heights (7-0) goes up against Palisades Park/Leonia in a North Jersey - Meadowlands game matchup next week, while Waldwick/Midland Park (5-2) locks horns with Becton also in a North Jersey - Meadowlands game.
