Basketball Game Preview: South Davidson Wildcats vs. North Moore Mustangs

South Davidson is on a five-game streak of home losses also dating back to last season, North Moore a six-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season, but someone's luck will change on Thursday. The South Davidson Wildcats will host the North Moore Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

South Davidson is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against North Rowan on Monday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. South Davidson came up short against North Rowan, falling 62-40. The Wildcats were down 47-24 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Meanwhile, North Moore came up short against Chatham Charter on Monday and fell 45-38.

North Moore's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for South Davidson, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

South Davidson took their victory against North Moore when the teams last played back in January of 2023 by a conclusive 49-28. Does South Davidson have another victory up their sleeve, or will North Moore turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
