Basketball Recap: Adams Comes Up Short

Adams played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against the West Mesquite Wranglers, falling 79-31. The Cougars were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-13.

Oliver Penn and Chris Robinson certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Penn posted five points, while Robinson scored three points and three steals. That's the most points Penn has posted since back in November of 2024.

Adams has been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-18 record this season. As for West Mesquite, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-3.

Adams will be playing in front of their home fans against Spruce at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Adams is facing Spruce at the right time seeing as Spruce is stuck on a 12-game losing streak. As for West Mesquite, they will head out to square off against Wilson at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
