Softball Recap: Bountiful RedHawks vs. Viewmont Vikings
Bountiful won against Manti last Saturday with nine runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Bountiful RedHawks never let the Viewmont Vikings get on the board and left with a 9-0 win. The RedHawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matches by seven runs or more this season.
Ella Miller made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 12 over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.
In other batting news, Bountiful let Isabeau Hoff and Claire Yates run wild. Hoff went 1-for-4 with five RBI, two runs, and one double, while Yates scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Those five RBI gave Hoff a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Aspyn Danner, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.
