Basketball Game Preview: Holland Christian Maroons vs. Hamilton Hawkeyes

The Holland Christian Maroons will challenge the Hamilton Hawkeyes at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Last Tuesday, Holland Christian came up short against Unity Christian and fell 54-41. While losing is never fun, the Maroons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 113th, while the Crusaders are ranked 12th).

Meanwhile, Hamilton also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Spring Lake by a score of 50-38.

Holland Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Hamilton, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-11.

Things could have been worse for Holland Christian, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 57-38 loss to Hamilton in their previous matchup back in January.
