Preview: Sto-Rox Vikings vs. Steel Valley Ironmen
The Sto-Rox Vikings will head out on the road to take on the Steel Valley Ironmen at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Sto-Rox is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
Last Monday, Sto-Rox didn't have too much trouble with the Ironmen at home as they won 65-50. With that victory, Sto-Rox brought their scoring average up to 50.3 points per game.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sto-Rox to victory, but perhaps none more so than David Johnson, who scored 19 points. Another player making a difference was Marcus Griffin, who scored 14 points.
Sto-Rox is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 8-10 record this season. As for Steel Valley, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-17.
Sto-Rox strolled past the Ironmen in their previous meeting on Monday by a score of 65-50. The rematch might be a little tougher for Sto-Rox since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
