Football Recap: Harford Tech Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Harford Tech unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost to the Aberdeen Eagles at home by a 36-21 margin on Friday. The Cobras were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Harford Tech lost, don't look at Stephen Kelley Ii. Despite the final result, he threw for 211 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 31 yards and one score.

Harford Tech and Aberdeen will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Cobras are set to square off against their familiar foe Elkton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Aberdeen will face off against rival Edgewood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
