Baseball Recap: Hornell Red Raiders vs. Keshequa Indians
Hornell unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell 6-1 to the Keshequa Indians on Monday. The Red Raiders were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Indians apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.
Hornell saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Wyatt Evingham, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 1-for-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hornell will host Wayland-Cohocton at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Keshequa, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Geneseo at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
