Basketball Recap: Monrovia Takes a Loss

Monrovia lost against Hoover back in November of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Monrovia Wildcats fell to the Hoover Tornados 66-61.

Monrovia has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points per game. As for Hoover, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Monrovia will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Kaiser at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Hoover, they will challenge Azusa at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
