Baseball Recap: Ithaca Comes Up Short

Ithaca lost to Horseheads back in May of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Bear Cubs lost 10-1 to the Blue Raiders.

Ithaca saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Leo Fiorello, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. That stolen base marked the first that Fiorello has snagged this season.

Ithaca's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Horseheads, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

While Ithaca had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
