Basketball Preview: Cape Henlopen Vikings vs. Milford Buccaneers
The Cape Henlopen Vikings's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Milford Buccaneers at 6:30 p.m. on February 6th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Delaware (Cape Henlopen is ranked 21st, while the Buccaneers are ranked 34th).
Cape Henlopen pushed their score all the way to 56 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 65-56 to Decatur.
Meanwhile, even though Lake Forest scored an imposing 56 points on Thursday, Milford still came out on top. Milford took their game against the Spartans 63-56.
Cape Henlopen dropped their record down to 6-8 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Milford, their win bumped their record up to an identical 6-8.
Cape Henlopen strolled past the Buccaneers when the teams last played back in January by a score of 65-49. The rematch might be a little tougher for Cape Henlopen since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
