Volleyball Game Preview: International Jaguars vs. Branham Bruins

International is on a 14-game streak of home wins, while Branham is on a five-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Jaguars will host the Bruins at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday.

International is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over Monta Vista.

While International might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Monta Vista scored at least 19 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-19, 23-25, 25-21.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Thursday Branham sidestepped Leigh for a 3-2 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bruins have posted against the Longhorns since March 12, 2024.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (132-107) Branham actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-52, 25-21, 25-23, 20-25, 15-11.

International is on a roll lately: they've won 19 of their last 20 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 26-7 record this season. As for Branham, their victory bumped their record up to 28-10.
