Ryder Meredith gave up the fewest earned runs he has since back in February on Monday. Chavez had no answer to Meredith as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Meredith has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.
