Recap: St. Mary Cathedral Snowbirds vs. Hillman Tigers
The St. Mary Cathedral Snowbirds pushed their score all the way to 65 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Hillman by a score of 67-65. Despite running the score up even higher than they did last Wednesday (55), St. Mary Cathedral still had to take the loss.
It was another big night for Trenton Taratuta, who dropped a double-double on 36 points and 14 rebounds for Hillman. The contest was Taratuta's ninth in a row with at least ten points. Aedan Tucker was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
St. Mary Cathedral's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Hillman, their win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Mary Cathedral will face off against Central Lake at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Central Lake will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Hillman, they will head out on the road to face off against Au Gres-Sims at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Au Gres-Sims will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings (they are ranked 707th, while Hillman is ranked 259th).
