Hayden put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Eudora Cardinals. For the Wildcats, this counts as revenge for the 2-0 win the Cardinals walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Hayden had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-19, 25-19.

Hailey Schmidtlein paced Hayden's offense, picking up 12 kills. Schmidtlein got some help from Blakely Walter and her 28 assists.

Hayden's record is now 10-0. As for Eudora, they moved to 4-4 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Hayden wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Heritage Christian Academy on the 13th. As for Eudora, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Gardner-Edgerton on the 13th.
