While Porter might've come up empty on Friday, Mia Sosa wasn't going down without a fight. Nobody could stop Sosa as she struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up five earned (and four unearned) runs off ten hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Sosa and Porter will venture away from home to face off against Harlingen South at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cowboys will be headed into this one with a sizable disadvantage in the rankings (they're ranked 331 places lower in Texas), but they're not letting that get them down.
