Soccer Recap: Tough Loss for Franklin

Franklin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 9-0 to the Mercer Mustangs. While losing is never fun, Franklin can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 500th, while Mercer are ranked 189th).

Franklin has now lost 16 of their last 19 games on the road. That's part of the reason why they have a 2-16 record this season. As for Mercer, they have been performing incredibly well recently, winning 10 of their last 11 games. That run has powered them to a 14-2 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Franklin will welcome Oil City at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mercer, they will play host again on Monday to welcome Commodore Perry, where kickoff is scheduled at 7:00 p.m.
